Upgrade from PADI Discover Scuba Diving to PADI Open Water Diver, continuing your training toward a full diving certification.
Turn Your First Experience into a PADI Open Water Certification
Build on your first diving experience with the PADI DSD → Open Water Upgrade, an option designed for those who have already completed a PADI Discover Scuba Diving and want to progress directly toward certification as a PADI Open Water Diver.
This option is available as part of the PADI training programs offered by NUBA in Bayahibe & Dominicus, Bávaro & Punta Cana, and Las Terrenas & Samaná.
The program lets you build on your previous Discover Scuba Diving experience and continue with the theory, practical training, and dives needed to progress toward Open Water certification, according to the applicable requirements and the option available at each base.
The upgrade develops new skills in safety, buoyancy control, equipment use, diving procedures, and underwater independence.
An ideal option for those who discovered diving through a DSD and decided to continue progressing without starting the process from scratch.
Check the option available in Bayahibe & Dominicus, Bávaro & Punta Cana, or Las Terrenas & Samaná and select the corresponding option during the booking process.
